Fine settimana positivo per Cram al Red Bull Ring
È proseguito in Austria l’ottimo stato di forma di Cram Motorsport, che dopo aver conquistato i primi punti della propria storia nella Formula 4 spagnola lo scorso fine settimana ad Alcaniz, ha ottenuto il miglior risultato della stagione nella Formula 4 Italia al Red Bull Ring di Spielberg.
La squadra di Erba è scesa in pista con Georgis Markogiannis, che dopo aver fatto l’esordio nel terzo appuntamento di Spa-Francorchamps, ha proseguito il proprio apprendistato in Austria.
Dato il record di iscritti di 40 vetture, il format dell’evento è stato rivisto. Ogni pilota ha preso parte a due manche di qualifica e solo i migliori 36 hanno poi avuto l’accesso alla finale. Dopo aver fatto segnare il 17esimo tempo sotto il diluvio che ha colpito le qualifiche nella giornata di venerdì, Markogiannis ha conquistato il miglior risultato stagionale nella prima gara disputata sabato pomeriggio, tagliando il traguardo nella 15esima piazza al termine di una bella prova.
Il 18esimo posto messo a segno nell’ultima manche di qualifica di mattina ha poi assicurato al segno pilota greco l’accesso alla finale, dove, al termine di una corsa combattuta, è arrivata la 28esima posizione.

A positive weekend for Cram at Red Bull Ring
The excellent form of Cram Motorsport continued in Austria. After scoring its first points in the Spanish Formula 4 last weekend at Alcaniz, the team achieved the best result of the year in the Italian Formula 4 at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg.
The Italian squad went on track with Georgis Markogiannis. After making his debut in the third round at Spa-Francorchamps, the Greek racer continued his apprenticeship in Austria.
Given the record entry of 40 cars, the format of the event was overhauled. Each driver took part in two out of three qualifying heats, and only the best 36 in the aggregate classification were admitted to the final. After setting the 17th fastest lap time under a huge downpour that hit qualifying on Friday, Markogiannis achieved his best result of the season in the first race held Saturday afternoon, crossing the finish line in P15 with a fine run.
The 18th place scored in the last qualifying heat on Sunday morning then secured the Greek driver access to the final, where, at the end of a hard-fought race, he finished in P28.
