Cram vincente nei rookie al Red Bull Ring
Il Red Bull Ring “sorride” a Cram Motorsport, che con Nicolas Baptiste ha vinto Gara 3 nella rookie class.
Il team di Erba, presente in terra austriaca con il colombiano e Georgis Markogiannis, ha avuto un weekend in crescendo culminato con la 5a posizione assoluta e la vittoria tra i rookie in una Gara 3 resa complicata dalla pioggia.
Sia Baptiste che Markogiannis non sono riusciti a massimizzare il potenziale in qualifica, riuscendo però ad invertire rotta nelle 3 gare. Baptiste, dopo il ritiro di Gara 1, ha chiuso Gara 2 in 17a posizione al termine di una buona rimonta.
La pioggia caduta poco prima di Gara 3 ha mescolato le carte in tavola e il colombiano, grazie anche alla corretta strategia delle gomme inscenata dal team, ha saputo risalire ben 21 posizioni chiudendo primo tra i rookie e 5° assoluto. Per Baptiste si tratta della prima vittoria nell’Italian F4 Championship powered by Abarth, giunta dopo la 2a piazza ottenuta nel round di Misano.
Non è stato da meno Markogiannis; il greco, 24° in Gara 1, ha iniziato la domenica in “sordina” con il ritiro in Gara 2. Georgis, però, si è rifatto in Gara 3, chiudendo ai piedi della top10, in 12a piazza, con una rimonta di ben 15 posizioni.
Gabriele Rosei, Team Manager: «Domeniche come questa ci ricordano perché mettiamo tanta passione in questo sport. Nico e Georgis hanno lottato duramente meritando i risultati ottenuti. Spero che questo sia solo la prima di tante giornate ricche di soddisfazioni.»
La prossima gara dell’Italian F4 Championship powered by Abarth è prevista per il weekend del 10 ottobre al Mugello.

Cram wins in rookie class at Red Bull Ring
Cram Motorsport shines at Red Bull Ring, winning Race 3 of rookie class with Nicolas Baptiste.
The team from Erba was represented by Baptiste and Georgis Markogiannis. The team had a weekend all in crescendo culminated with P5 overall and P1 rookies in Race 3, made complicated by the rain.
Baptiste and Markogiannis had difficult qualifying sessions but they inverted the trend in the races. Nicolas retired from Race 1, then he finished 17th in Race 2. Rain made Race 3 challenging and Baptiste, also thanks to a perfect tyre strategy, returned 21 places. He finished 1st in the rookies and 5th overall. It’s been the first victory of Nico and it follows the 2nd place of Misano.
Markogiannis too made good progress in the races. He finished P24 in the first race of the weekend, then he was forced to retire in Race 2. Things improved a lot in Race 3, he made a huge recovery as well as Nico, climbing 15 spots. He crossed the finish line P12 overall, 7th in the rookies.

The next race of the Italian F4 Championship powered by Abarth is scheduled for the weekend of 10 October at Mugello Circuit.
