Monza senza lieto fine per Cram Motorsport

Lo storico Autodromo Nazionale di Monza non ha “sorriso” a Cram Motorsport che, nonostante l’indubbio potenziale mostrato nelle sessioni ufficiali, non ha coronato il weekend con i risultati attesi.

Il team di Erba, che si trova in lizza per il campionato sia in F4 che nel GT Sprint, ha ottenuto comunque 4 podi tra Italian F4 Championship e GT Sprint, tuttavia, alcuni episodi sfortunati gli hanno impedito di ottenere la vittoria.

F4 – Rosso, gioie e dolori. Markogiannis in crescita

Andrea Rosso ha iniziato il weekend in maniera incoraggiante con la 3a piazza in Q1 e la pole position in Q2. Anche in Gara 1 il torinese si è confermato tra i piloti da battere, tanto che ha concluso 2° (anche nella classifica rookie) dopo essersi giocato il successo durante i 30 minuti di gara. Le cose si sono complicate alla domenica, in Gara 2 un problema tecnico non imputabile al team lo ha costretto alla resa prim ancora di partire, vanificando anche la pole position. In Gara 3, invece, è stato costretto al ritiro a causa di un incidente avvenuto nelle prime battute della corsa.

Andrea si trova al momento in 3a posizione in entrambe le classifiche (assolute e rookies).

Georgis Markogiannis, al ritorno dopo l’esperienza del Red Bull Ring, ha dimostrato una buona crescita nonostante la poca esperienza sul “tempio della velocità”. Il greco non solo ha  portato a termine tutte e tre le gare, ma in Gara 1 ha anche migliorato il proprio best score stagionale, chiudendo in 16a posizione. Nelle gare domenicali ha poi concluso rispettivamente 17° e 19°.

GT Sprint – Vebster e Riva mantengono la leadership in campionato

Daniel Vebster, in coppia con Giacomo Riva, sono stati protagonisti di un altro weekend estremamente positivo in GT4-AM. Vebster ha iniziato con il piede giusto in qualifica, ottenendo la 2a posizione nel suo turno. Nelle due gare, poi, il duo italo-svedese ha ottenuto due podi, il 2° posto in Gara 1 e il 3° in Gara 2. In campionato l’equipaggio si trova in prima posizione a 84 lunghezze, 6 in più del primo inseguitore.

Gabriele Rosei, Team Manager: «E’ stato un weekend un po’ particolare, dal quale ci aspettavamo un epilogo diverso dopo le qualifiche. Andrea ha dimostrato di avere tanta velocità, ma il problema in Gara 2 e il crash di Gara 3 non gli hanno permesso di massimizzare il potenziale. Ad Imola avrà tanta voglia di riscatto e credo che ciò sarà di aiuto. Georgis, dal canto suo, è cresciuto molto, nonostante il gap di esperienza con gli avversari. Il percorso di maturazione continua senza sosta e questo mi rende fiducioso per il futuro. Infine, Daniel si sta ritagliando sempre più un posto da protagonista nel GT Sprint, dimostrando di avere la stoffa per stare davanti».

Il prossimo appuntamento di Cram Motorsport sarà il 6° round dell’Italian F4 Championship powered by Abarth in programma all’Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari di Imola il weekend del 22 novembre.

No happy ending for Cram in Monza

The historic Autodromo Nazionale di Monza did not “smile” to Cram Motorsport, which did not crown the weekend with the expected results despite the official sessions’ undoubted potential.

The team from Erba, which is fighting for the championship in both F4 and GT Sprint, still obtained 4 podiums between the Italian F4 Championship and GT Sprint. However, some unfortunate episodes prevented them from getting the victory.

F4 – Rosso, joy and sorrow. Markogiannis made progress

Andrea Rosso encouragingly started the weekend with 3rd place in Q1 and pole position in Q2. The Turin-born confirmed himself as one of the drivers to beat also in Race 1. He finished 2nd (even in the rookie standings) after a long fight for the victory.

Things got complicated on Sunday. In Race 2, a technical problem – not attributable to the team – forced him to surrender before the start, this nullified the pole position. In Race 3 he was forced to retire due to a crash in the race’s early laps.
Andrea is currently in 3rd position in both rankings (absolute and rookies).

Georgis Markogiannis, who returned after his experience at the Red Bull Ring, showed good growth despite his lack of experience in the “temple of speed”. The Greek driver completed all three races, and in Race 1, he also improved his best score of the season, finishing in 16th position. In the Sunday races, he then finished 17th and 19th, respectively.

GT Sprint – Vebster and Riva maintain championship leadership.

Daniel Vebster, together with Giacomo Riva, were the protagonists of another extremely positive weekend in GT4-AM. Vebster started on the right foot in qualifying, finishing 2nd in his session.

In the two races, the Italian-Swedish duo obtained two podiums, 2nd place in Race 1 and 3rd in Race 2. In the championship, the team is in the first position at 84 points, 6 more than the first opponent.

Gabriele Rosei, Team Manager: “It was a tricky weekend, which we expected a different result after the qualifying sessions. Andrea proved to have a lot of speed, but the mechanical failure in Race 2 and the crash in Race 3 did not allow him to maximize his potential. At Imola he will have a great desire for redemption, and I believe this will help him. Georgis, for his part, has grown a lot, despite the experience gap with his opponents. The path of maturation continues unabated, and this makes me confident for the future. Daniel became one of the protagonists in the GT Sprint ».

The next round of Cram Motorsport will be the 6th round of the Italian F4 Championship powered by Abarth scheduled at the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Imola on the weekend of 22 November.
