Race weekend Formula 4 at Misano

Cram grabs points at Misano F4 

Cram team started the 2017 Italian F4 Championship conquering points at the very first attempt, in the opening round of the season hosted in Misano during the weekend of April the 2nd.

Leonard Hoogenboom, at his second campaign with the squad run by the Rosei family, competed among the main contenders. In the first race, after a qualifying session which saw him setting the 16th and 17th time, he recovered strongly to a deserved eight place, thanks also to a well tuned car.

The Dutch driver was going up again in race 2, while a rival touched his rear tyre with the front wing. As a consequence, Hoogenboom went off the track while he was 12th. In the third race, then, Hoogenboom ended in 18th.

On the other side, Mariano Lavigna delivered a positive start after setting the 23rd and the 25th time in the two qualifying segments. The young Italian had been forced to retire in race 1, but he fought in race 2 and race 3 clinching the 19th and 17th position under the chequered flag. His performances gave confidence for the rest of the season.

Next stop for the Italian F4 Championship is scheduled at Adria on 6-7 of May.

Nell’apertura della F.4 Italia. Cram e Hoogenboom a punti

Subito a punti il team Cram nell’apertura stagionale della F.4 Italia che si è svolta nel weekend del 2 aprile sul circuito di Misano. Leonard Hoogenboom, alla seconda stagione con la squadra dei fratelli Rosei, è stato tra i protagonisti assoluti.

Nella prima gara, dopo una qualifica che lo aveva visto 16esimo nel primo turno e 17esimo nel secondo, ha recuperato con forza fino a raggiungere una più che meritata ottava posizione ben assistito dalla monoposto della Cram.

Hoogenboom anche in gara 2 stava recuperando forte quando un avversario gli ha tagliato, con l’ala anteriore, la gomma posteriore provocando l’uscita di pista dell’olandese mentre era risalito al 12esimo posto. Nella terza corsa, invece, Hoogenboom ha concluso 18esimo.

Positivo il debutto di Mariano Lavigna. Il pilota italiano, alla prima assoluta nella F.4, dopo aver superato le qualifiche col 23esimo e il 25esimo crono, in gara 1 è stato costretto al ritiro, ma nelle successive corse ha visto l’arrivo al 19esimo e al 17esimo posto al termine di due grintose rimonte che lasciano ben sperare per il prosieguo del campionato.

Prossimo appuntamento il fine settimana del 7 maggio sul tracciato di Adria.
